Dutch scientists from the University of Maastricht have discovered a link between women's life expectancy and their growth. Women taller than 175 centimeters could live longer than women with lower growth.
Scientists began their work by studying the Dutch cohort study, which involved 120,000 men and women aged 55 to 69 years.

Questionnaires included information on growth, weight, and physical activity during respondent's age of 20 years. Scientists have focused on people who have reached the age of 90 – 433 men and 994 women.
Women taller than greater than 175 centimeters were more likely to survive up to age 90 than women under 160 centimeters tall, writes BMJ Journals. Obese or, on the contrary, lean women, were less likely to reach the same age as women of normal weight.
The researchers note that physical activity can also affect life expectancy with what is important not to overdo it. The charge of one hour a day can improve the situation, but the long charge (up to 1.5 hours a day) on the contrary will worsen it.
So that longevity can last to affect physical activity, but it's important not to overdo it
According to experts, they can not give a clear answer, why obesity further affects the longevity of women. This is probably due to the fact that overweight men are less condemned in society. They may have a good mental state and tend to gain weight over time. But the most critical women have poor mental health, which also affects longevity.
Scientists point out that growth does not directly affect people's chances of living longer.
