Belarus became the first country in the Commonwealth of Independent States on the basis of real wages. For example, last year, the real wage in Belarus was $ 1602, in Russia $ 1,550 and in Ukraine $ 1,073.

Real wages are a composite indicator: in calculating their size, researchers transferred wages in national currency according to purchasing power parity, taking into account differences in consumer prices in different country. The authors used World Bank data, exchange rates, and inflation rates in the countries mentioned.
