BMW and Porsche bypassed Tesla at charging speed of electric vehicles

The BMW and Porsche companies presented a prototype charging station that, in less than three minutes, can provide the electric vehicle with enough energy to travel 100 kilometers. This is reported by Bloomberg. They thus bypassed the Tesla company.

BMW and Porsche devices "charge" batteries with enough car charge to travel 100 kilometers in less than 3 minutes. It should be noted that the charging stations have a capacity greater than that capable of receiving insulating batteries for series cars. Thus, the test results were obtained with the test car and will affect the future of private electric transport. To allow the test batteries to absorb the energy of the charger, a special cooling was used in particular.

The cars tested on the aircraft were loaded at 80% of their power in 15 minutes, Bloomberg informs. At the same time, Tesla stations need about half an hour to perform such a refill, according to the company's website.

Charging speed and the presence of infrastructure affect the customer's decision to use electric vehicles.
