The Daily Telegraph in London has apologized to the First Lady, Melania Trump, on Saturday, and said that he had agreed to pay him "substantial damages" for publishing false statements about his family and modeling career.
This was at least the third time the first lady had successfully pursued online publications or blogs for defamatory articles.
"We apologize without reservation to the First Lady and her family for any embarrassment caused by the publication of these allegations," wrote the newspaper on Saturday. "As a sign of regret, we have agreed to pay Ms Trump substantial damages and legal costs."
The claims were published last week in an article titled "The Mystery of Melania", published Saturday. 19659005] The British conservative newspaper stated that the article should not have claimed that Melania Trump was struggling in her modeling career before meeting Donald Trump, nor that she had progressed in her career thanks to his help.
