The authorities are trying to find the person who drowned a young pit bull the edge of the water at high tide in New Jersey.
A person walking his dog in the Highlands Veterans Memorial Park saw the little dog huddled in the cage on a stretch of sand between a bulkhead and the water when the tide arrived on Monday morning. The person climbed the wall to save the dog, said the Monmouth County Attorney's Office
"If this is not the heroic act of rescuing the good Samaritan, the dog could have gone walnut". Facebook.
Prosecutors estimate that the dog was placed between 4 am and 6 pm, according to the tide schedule
The gray and white pit bull, aged about a year, was taken away at the Highland Police Station. Anyone with information about the dog or its owner is urged to call the MCPO Animal Cruelty Hot Line at 877-898-7297 or to inform the Highland Police Department at (732) 872-1224 .
