A Delaware student was allowed to change his family name after incessant bullying by his peers. the surname of his mother for that of his father.
11-year-old parents told ABC's affiliate, WPVI, that their son's bullying was fierce and began when Donald Trump began his presidential campaign.
"He said that he hated himself and that he hated his last name. He always feels sad and he does not want to live like that anymore. And as a parent, it's scary, "his mother, Megan Trump, said.
Talley Middle School in Wilmington agreed to immediately change Trump's family name into his system, hoping to end the ridicule.
"I know that teachers knew the last name, and I know when speaking with the student, teachers do their best not to pronounce his last name," said director Mark Mayer .
Five students were allegedly sanctioned by the school, which allegedly set up support mechanisms to allow Joshua to report any future acts of intimidation.
