The Russian politician therefore believes that Russia's confidence in Belarus has recently been lost.

Excise goods – cigarettes, fill our markets,
– said Siluanov

Silouanov stressed that Minsk did not fully respect the terms of the alliance signed in 1999. It provides for a fiscal policy, customs, monetary, excise and economic conditions for both countries.

"All these elements of our 1999 union agreement, everything is written, but it is not fulfilled," he added.

According to him, the situation is also affected by the absence of single currency in the countries.

Moreover, the head of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, announced the completion of the draft Concept of approximation of the laws of Russia and Belarus. They state that this step is a prerequisite for the intensification of economic cooperation within the State of the Union.

In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the military doctrine of the State of the Union, which includes the Russian Federation and Belarus. At the same time, the Kremlin has declared that the possible unification of Russia and Belarus is not being studied.

Instead, the Belarusian President, Oleksandr Lukashenko, said that Moscow and Minsk were about to create a single market for fuels and energy – they were able to conclude all agreements.
