The Russian Federation violates all international standards by preventing and blocking the movement of ships in the Kerch Strait in the Azov Sea. This behavior of the aggressor country is unacceptable

Zerkal told the German counterpart of Russia's aggression on the Azov and blocking his expedition into the waters of the seas. Schmidt condemned the Kremlin's aggressive actions, underlining the violation of all its norms of international law.
He also pointed out that the issue of illegally annexed Crimea was relevant, but remained on the agenda of the Bundestag. The ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk suffer considerable losses due to the blockade of traffic in the Kerch Strait. In this regard, the two ports are forced to move to a 4-day workweek and downsize.
