D.C. Police responded to MedStar Washington Hospital Center on Thursday after receiving a call about a possible active shooter, but a hospital official said there was no shooting and no threat in course.
The report was sent to the authorities at 10:19 am 110 North Irving Street, at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Michigan Avenue.
"Nothing has been confirmed," said the police first. At 10:45, the police said, "We are looking at the threats."
The incident was under investigation and the police "are probing the area for the suspect", according to Alaina Gertz, a spokeswoman for DC Police
Police said in an email at 11 am: "Although we received a call for an active shooter, it was determined that the situation was for threats . "
Some campus buildings were evacuated, but at 11:30 am police said the situation was "quite clear." It was not known immediately if a suspect had been found or was in detention.

Violet Walker, 63, was in the waiting room of a clinic Ophthalmologist on the ground floor of the hospital when she saw an active shooter.

Camille Connolly, 68 years old, was in a doctors office building around 10:40 am with her husband, waiting for her doctor.When the doctor came out of her room, she had heard an office worker tell her that a "money code" was in place.The doctor told Connolly and her husband that they needed to evacuate.The couple waited outside with about fifty other people.
"D & # 39; first, they brought us to the gates, and then they told us to get away from the gates, "says Connolly.
She said that she was not worried that it was not an active threat
