An activist David Hogg will continue his studies in 2019.
The school that shoots a survivor turned gun control activist announced Saturday that he had been accepted to Harvard University.

Hogg, known for his public activism in the wake of Parkland, Florida, a shootout at a school that died on February 17, took a year off after his spring graduation to focus on the volunteering and advocacy in the 2018 mid-term elections, help young voters to register and learn about how and where to vote.
Prior to his high school graduation, Hogg had applied for and had been rejected by several schools of the University of California. Fox News' Laura Ingraham had criticized Hogg for rejecting competing public universities, which sparked strong reactions, as many advertisers withdrew from the Ingraham show as a result of his comments.
Hogg's SAT standardized test score is 1270, and he graduated with an average of 4.2. Harvard takes a holistic approach to admissions emphasizing personal character, including activism and volunteer work, and a desire for diversity among students. Last year, half of the SAT scores of students admitted to Harvard went from 1470 to 1570.
