On Tuesday, Representative Steve King (IA) asked Sundar Pichai, Google CEO, why his seven-year-old granddaughter had seen a picture of him with inappropriate language while playing a game on his iPhone.
To which the Pichai replied: "The deputy, the iPhone is made by another company."
The Democratic staff table burst out laughing at Pichai's response, according to Joe Perticone of Business Insider who attended Tuesday's hearing.
Ted Lieu (CA) told the Iowa Congressman later during the hearing that he wanted to " positive search results, do things positive. "
At the Judiciary Committee of the House, Tuesday, Google CEO Sundar Pichai was prayed However, no question was as difficult as that of Iowa Congressman Steve King, to whom it was literally impossible to answer.
King stated that his seven-year-old granddaughter was playing a game over the phone before an election – most likely that of King in November. The candidacy for the 2018 re-election – and he was shown a picture of the congressman with a not-so-flattering language.
"I'm not going to tell the record what kind of language was used around this photo r grandfather," he said.
Then, brandishing his Apple device, King asked Pichai, "How can it be seen on a seven-year-old iPhone playing a children's game."
What the Google CEO said: "Congressman, iPhone is made by a different company."
The table of Democratic employees burst out laughing at Pichai's answer, according to Joe Perticone of Business Insider who attended Tuesday's hearing.
King retraced his steps and said, "It could have been an Android. It's just … it was a kind of hand-down. "
Later in the hearing, the representative Ted Lieu (CA) told Iowa member of Congress that he wanted " positive research results, to do positive things." King was repeatedly found in hot water because of his insensitive racial comments.

King was not the only one to hold his iPhone in when he spoke to Google's CEO on Tuesday, Ted Poe (TX) showed his Apple device by asking Pichai if Google was tracking users' phones for location data.Representative Tom Marino ( PA) also lifted the gesture when he entrusted Pichai with the major responsibility incumbent on him because "many people believe in everything that is announced by anyone".
