An old clip of Paul Manafort trying to defend President Donald Trump seems "really, really clumsy" in light of the latest revelations, according to CNN's Don Lemon.
It's so embarrassing that Lemon does not stop laughing while playing … then look at him a second time and laugh even louder:
"In short, Mr. Trump has no connection financial with a Russian. oligarchs, "Norah O 'Donnell, presenter of CBS News, asks Manafort in the July 2016 clip.
Manafort stammers his answer.
"That's what he said," Manafort replies. "That's what I said. This is obviously what our position is.
Lemon laughed the time he played.
"It was really very painful," he concluded. "I still have no idea what he said there."
What makes it so embarrassing is the revelation on Thursday that Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, reportedly told a court that talks on a potential real estate project at Trump Tower in Moscow would continue in June 2016
