WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump Offers Leave to Federal Government Employees, Announcing Tuesday that he would exempt officials from his work the Christmas Eve.
Trump signed a decree declaring that "all federal executive departments and agencies will be closed" on Monday, in the tradition of a little followed stmas tradition falls on a Tuesday.

The Trump Order, along with those who preceded it, exempts employees responsible for "national security, defense or other public needs" .
