In Ukraine, the first stage of the election campaign continues: presidential candidates submit their papers to the CEC. Currently, among the candidates already registered, there are five politicians.
Presidential candidates may submit documents to the Central Electoral Commission by February 3rd. The registration should end on February 8th. Thus, on February 9, Ukrainians will know the final list of candidates for the presidency.

On March 31st, the first ballot of the future president will take place. The official results of the first round must be announced before April 10th. If the decision to hold the second round is taken, it will take place on April 21st.

Igor Shevchenko
Self-appointed, non-party. 48, lawyer, former minister of ecology. President of the charity "Successful Ukraine."

Self-nomination, no party. 47-year-old economist, former head of the agrarian party of Ukraine. Professor of horse breeding and beekeeping at the National University of Life Sciences and the Environment of Ukraine
Andriy Sadovyi
Candidate for the 50-year-old "Self-help" association, mayor of Lviv, leader of the "Self-help" party.
Valentin Nalyvaichenko
Candidate of the party "Political-Public Movement Valentine Nalyvaichenko" "Justice", 52 years old, former head of the SBU, leader of the party "Justice".
Sergei Kaplin
Party candidate "Social Democratic Party". 39-year-old deputy from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Who can be elected President of Ukraine? A 35-year-old Ukrainian citizen, having an official language and residing in Ukraine in the last ten years prior to polling day, may become President of Ukraine. This right is exercised through political parties, as well as through self-nomination. The party can only designate one candidate. The presidential candidate must pledge to pay 2.5 million hryvnia. In case of loss, the mortgage is not refunded.
