ESA showed an ice lake on Mars

The European Space Agency (ESA) unveiled a photo of the Queen's crater on Mars, made by the Mars Express spacecraft

The photo shows that the crater is filled with frozen water. The thickness of the ice cover is about 1.8 km. The width of the crater exceeds 80 kilometers.

Crater, named after "Father of Soviet Astronautics" Sergei Korolev, located on the mainland.

The crater is covered with many smaller craters, the largest being the Korolev C (66 km in diameter), contiguous to the inner part of the well to the northeast and to Korolev M (57 km in diameter) to the south of the bowl.
