KYIV. February 6, UNN. Four countries acceded to the December decision of the Council of the European Union on the extension of sanctions against the Russian Federation. Among the countries that have supported economic sanctions are Montenegro, Albania, Norway and Ukraine. "The decision of the Council of the EU maintains the restrictive measures for six months, until 31 July 2019. The candidate countries for accession accession to the EU Montenegro and Albania, a member of the European Economic Area of Norway, as well as Ukraine have adhered to this decision, "the statement said.
As stated in the communiqué, these countries pledged to ensure their internal policies with the relevant decision of the Council of the EU.
"European Union takes note of this commitment and congratulates it," said Mogherini in a statement.

As stated UNN United States and the European Union are considering the possibility of taking additional measures, including sanctions, against Russia if the Kremlin does not release Ukrainian seamen.
