By the end of 2018 and the first quarter of 2019, it is planned to supply 30 GE TE33AC diesel locomotives with a 10% locating rate. Their production will begin in early 2018 in the United States and the first deliveries are expected this fall. In total, UZ plans to buy up to 225 new diesel locomotives and move to existing 75 over a period of 15 years

As Alcov wrote, modernization of an old locomotive operated by General Electric can cost 50 to 60% of the cost of the new.
