President George HW Bush's body was rushed by train to his final resting place in College Station, Texas on Thursday, almost a week after the death of the 41st President of the United States, at the same time. 94 years old.

This was the first commemorative train procession in nearly 50 years. The most recent was President Dwight D. Eisenhower 49 years ago. The first, reported the AP, was for President Abraham Lincoln.
The former commander-in-chief died last Friday. His casket was resting in the US capital Rotunda on Monday, and a service – attended by every president alive – took place Wednesday in the Washington National Cathedral.
