Google has created a password key holder

A key that looks like a USB stick allows its owner to work around the process of entering passwords.

Google introduced its new development, Titan Security Key, a physical key that serves as a user identifier. According to Hiike, it was initially designed as a device required by the user to connect to the computer system, but developers promise to extend its functionality to store passwords for different accounts.

There are two changes to the device: with USB and Bluetooth, it does not require charging for about six months, notes the edition. The Titan Security Key award is not yet known, but similar keys that have already appeared on the market cost between $ 20 and $ 25.

The developers promise that the device should "significantly improve the security of the user account: if hackers can receive a password, they will not be able to log in without a physical key."

A key that looks like a USB key allows its owner to bypass the process of entering passwords. In addition to the password, the device provides a unique encryption key, so that it will not be able to use the swindler, point out the developers.

Google said that they had been using similar keychains for about six months. The result has been a general decrease in phishing and fraudulent practices of obtaining information through false links.

"Since the introduction of security keys, we have had no report on theft of passwords or accounts," the company adds.
