Google is experimenting with a dark theme in Chrome on smartphones

Google followed the Chrome browser for Windows 10 and macOS started testing the dark theme for smartphones. This mode is already supported by Chrome 73 beta for Android.

By the time the 9to5Google authors discover the new feature, the dark theme of the experimental browser is at a very early stage. It only appears in the pop-up window when you click long on the link or on the image and only if the Android Pie for Developers theme is set to Always On. In addition, on a gray background, the text of the window is sometimes black and difficult to notice.

In the future, the dark theme of the browser should appear and the other elements changed, the menu and color generally darker. Although nothing guarantees that the function will come out of the test phase, you can still expect it. The dark theme will become one of the most important features of the next version of Android.
