Hasher Jallal Taheb arrested as part of an attack plan at the White House

A man residing in Georgia was reportedly arrested and suspected of attacking the White House, other well-known targets and at least one Jewish site in the nation's capital .

According to a report by ABC News, Hasher. Jallal Taheb was arrested as part of an FBI operation after local authorities alerted him to fears of a radicalization of the 21-year-old resident of Cumming.

In December, ABC cited a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in federal court in Atlanta, where Mr. Taheb showed a White House diagram to an undercover agent and asked him to help him get weapons.

B. During his interview, US District Attorney General J. Pak told reporters that Mr. Taleb's plan involved a homemade explosive and an anti-tank rocket.

He was arrested after the exchange of arms, reported ABC.

Other targets of the attack plot included the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and a "specific synagogue" unspecified in the complaint beyond its presence in the Washington metropolitan area.

Taleb appeared briefly in Atlanta court on Wednesday to explain the charges. His court appearance is scheduled for January 24.
