PHOENIX (KSAZ) – Heavy rain and wind move in parts of the valley, while the monsoon season continues in Arizona in 2018.
This happens a day after the community of Buckeye beaten by a monsoon storm that left behind significant damage. This storm destroyed power lines in Buckeye, affecting approximately 21,000 residents who receive their electricity from the APS. The power was restored almost every Monday before the second storm
Authorities are still trying to determine the total damage caused by the storm in Buckeye, west of Phoenix.
Officials from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport say At the moment the storm hits the valley, PRS officials are reporting a number of power cuts in the East Valley, many of which north of the United States. More than 52,000 RPS customers have been affected According to information available on the RPS website, APS officials report that more than 13,000 customers are without electricity in its service area in Phoenix.
The storm also caused more damage in the Phoenix area. Near downtown Phoenix, a roof was ripped off a motel, causing significant damage. Matt Rodewald of FOX 10 learned that one person had been seriously injured and 20 others had been displaced.

Mesa Fire officials also rescued a woman from a home near streets 6 and Center
"The tree fell on her, but she is fine," said a witness, identified only as "Abra".
