(CNN) The difficulties faced by government employees forced to work without pay during the closure of the office did not simply disappear when President Donald Trump reopened the government for three weeks on Friday.
Many of these approximately 450,000 federal employees were forced to save money or find other ways to spend less, as the closure lasted 35 days. Now, they have yet to wait for the arrival of their salary arrears and wait to see the prolonged effects of these missed paychecks.
