"Dalspetsstroy" was the contractor for the construction of the "Oriental" cosmodrome, following which several criminal cases were initiated. Savin headed the "Dalspetsstroi" until March 2015, when he became deputy head of the company for health reasons. A few months later, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin requested Savin's dismissal of the company for non-payment of wages paid to his employees. Rogozin also pointed out that Savin had arranged for his wife Dalspetsstroy to receive a salary of 800,000 rubles.
