In December, Qualcomm had obtained the ban on the sale of iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and their Plus versions on the German market. But Apple did not go astray and figured out how to turn those smartphones on sale.

What's wrong?

Some models of the iPhone were using Intel modems with a Qorvo chip, claimed by Qualcomm. The component manufacturer has been accused of violating the Envelope Tracking Technology patent, which reduces power consumption when transmitting data over a wireless channel.

The solution to the problem

In China, Apple has bypassed a similar ban by simply updating the software. It was now necessary to take more serious steps – the company will release special versions of smartphones without Qorvo components. German distributors of "Apple" technology have already received information indicating that the modified versions of iPhone 7/7 and iPhone 8/8 Plus would be available within the next four weeks.

The new models have slightly modified their indexes. For example, the Black iPhone 7 Plus on 128 GB appears in databases such as MN482ZD / A (MN4P2ZD / A), and the iPhone 8 with 64 GB of gray color memory is equipped with 39; a number MQ6K2ZD / A (instead of the old one)
