Israel hopes that Ukraine will join the process initiated by the United States and transfer its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. That's what the Israel State correspondent Joel Lyon said in response to a December 18 issue of Radio Liberty.
"You ask if we are violating (Israel – Ed.) This question to the Ukrainian authorities, and I will answer: yes, we are addressing this issue when we are dealing with government officials at different levels," said Lyon.
The first in 2018, they announced the transfer of their embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, recently announced the United States, recalled Lyon. He also said that the Czech Republic had transferred its trade and economic mission and cultural center to Jerusalem.
In October this year, a draft resolution of the Verkhovna Rada on the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the transfer of the Embassy of Ukraine in this city was registered by the Ukrainian Parliament. the city (or at least part of it) is the capital of its future state.
