Wyoming municipal workers were surprised when they found something a little out of the ordinary that grew in the potted plant community – a real pot.
The city of Powell, Wyoming, believe, planted marijuana seeds in flowerpots owned by the city this spring. The city's employees then took care of the plants without knowing it, reports The Powell Tribune.
Parks and recreation staff noticed leaves of distinct appearance last month while he was holding pots. A planter with flourishing potted plants was even close to the police station, reports the Tribune.
Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, Del Barton, said the workers were weeding two suspicious plants and bringing them to the local police. Another plant was found a few days later. And Barton said the workers believe that there could be others.
Police Chief Roy Eckerdt told the Tribune that the surprise plants were "someone's sense of humor." When Eckerdt learned about the particular greenery of the planters, he quickly examined the marijuana pots outside the police station.
