"Karpatnaftokhim" in June for the first time began to import oil by sea

The Kalush Petrochemical Company began importing (petroleum) straight-run oil for the first time in June.

Mid-June, 5.3 thousand tons passed through the port of Odessa. The transfer was made by the terminal "Odessanaftoprodukt", which is controlled by the group Privat, "Vikna" with reference to the enkorr.

The direct petrol producer is the petrochemical complex of Burgas (Bulgaria) belonging to Lukoil. The seller was an international Trafigura trader. The head of the company "Techinservice" Igor Shchutsky noted that the supply of the sea is a diversification of the supply system of raw materials:

Now we are working in test mode to study and try in this direction in detail. There will be more tankers.

"Karpatnaftokhim" uses straight-line gasoline as raw material for ethylene production. Every month, the company imports 40,000 tons of oil. In total for 5 months from 2018 the plant received about 200,000 tons of the resource. This volume has been delivered by rail from Russia and Byelorussia
