LG patented a strange smartphone in the form of a scroll

The South Korean manufacturer's portfolio already has relevant developments, but the company's new patent demonstrates a very unusual approach to form factor.

The document, registered with the Office of Intellectual Property of the World, contains a detailed description of the device, which received the work name "mobile terminal with possibility of torsion".

According to the patent, an unusual gadget is equipped with a flexible touch screen that can be not only folded, but also twisted in the form of a tube. The device also provided an auxiliary display on the stationary portion of the housing and equipped with a stylus.

The body elements inside (or one of them) limits the screen. If necessary, the owner can remove all or part of the screen. In its fully developed form, the device allows to work directly with three applications in multitasking mode.

The left side of the device is a small screen that displays different information, the weather, the calendar, the time, the charge level and so on. The right part of the case is equipped with the Home button.
