Senator Lindsey Graham (RS.C.) promised not to miss the demand for money from the border wall on the first day of federal closure.
In an interview with Fox News on Saturday evening with Jeanine Pirro, the legislator summoned the Democrats for the division, accusing them of leading "a senseless and ridiculous fight" on the spending bill and assuring Senator Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) that he was at war.
"Senator Schumer, we will not give up the wall," promised Graham. "We are going to build a wall, and to all those Americans who want us to abandon the wall and open the border, that's what this fight is all about."
The GOP senator then pointed to the migrant caravan. Central America, which formed earlier this year and is about to arrive in the United States, as evidence of the need for a crackdown on the southern border. On this point, Graham refused to settle.
