Montenegro will offer citizenship in exchange for investments

The Government of Montenegro plans to strengthen its economy by providing citizenship in return for an investment of at least 250 thousand euros

Bloomberg reports with reference to the statement of the Government of Montenegro

" Montenegro the newest member of NATO, wants to strengthen its economy by offering two thousand people who will invest (at least € 250,000) in a passport," reads in the statement.

As noted, the country will offer investments and from 250,000 to 450,000 euros in some government development projects and a commission of 100 000 euros for each request.

The citizenship program, which will begin in October, aims to increase the economy of the former Yugoslav Republic by attracting investment.
