Julius Jim was the best Ukrainian. Like the winners of the race, she closed all goals, but at a reduced speed, she finished only 24th, almost three minutes late. She could get ten of the strongest Elena Pidgrushna, but two rounds of fine after the last shot were rejected for the fight for a spot in the top ten. Valya Semerenko decided not to finish. And only Anastasia Merkushina, despite two good distances, managed to improve her starting position and to enter a zone of eyeball – 37th place of the youngest Ukrainian woman of this race.
In general, the stage in Slovenia for Ukrainian women has been a success. Jim won the first victory of his career in a personal race. Podrushna took 7th place in the sprint, posting the best personal result of last year, and Nastya Merkushina – won the "bronze" in a short team sprint.
The second stage begins on December 13 at the Austrian Hochfilzen. id) {
