American Thomas Grimm commented on the results of club meetings that debated the championship format for the 2019 season / 20. He talked about this to the TV channel "Football".
"We can congratulate the participants of the meeting for finally deciding the number of teams in the ULR.I agree that this is not the best time to develop the league.Of course, we we strive to have a format with sixteen teams, but not yet.
To talk about 16 clubs in the championship, you have to solve financial problems, as well as infrastructure, sports competition.After all, we have to deal with the level of the championship, the interest of the matches for the spectators, the teams that will represent Ukraine at the Cups. Grimm
Remember that today the Ural Club meeting was held, and most clubs voted to maintain the current competition format with 12 teams. Idea to go back to the fo rmat with 16 participants was supported by only three clubs: Dynamo, Karpaty and Chernomorets.
