Producer Anna Palenchuk works on the production of Oleg Sentsov's play "The Numbers". The first is expected in November. – Where does the idea of making a performance come from? Oleg participates in the preparation?
– The fact that Oleg is not only a talented cinematographer, he is also a writer. He wrote "Stories", which we published at Laurus Publishing House in 2015. Then he wrote a book Buy a Book, It's Funny ", which we published in 2016 in Folio.And again I knew that there are "numbers". It's a piece, and this piece was supported by our Russian colleagues from Theater.doc and was the readers of this piece.

– What is this piece, "The Numbers"?
– It is such an antithyopy, and there are 10 numbers – from 1 to 10. They are even, that is, men, half-wives. And they exist according to the rules that Zero invented. And Zero – he's like God. He exists on stage, especially these numbers. And the numbers live according to their rules and at one point they think, "And why do we live by these rules, why do we have a lunch break at a time, why are we all sleeping the same way? all the same shape? And they decide, some numbers decide to go against this Zero.
And in fact, the piece is not only anti-utopian, it is also very tied to the fate of Oleg himself, of course, because when the drama of this play develops, when there is such a number that is completely incongruent with the rules, it happens to him the same as what happens to Oleg himself. As a result, the play is such a prophet.
Now we have submitted to the Ukrainian Cultural Fund for financing. Because I realized that cinema and theater in general, apart from actors, is that it is impossible to do without money, of course. And it is very important for us to get exactly the funding from the state for this show, in order to make it technically at a very high level.
I said, "Let's put it in Ukrainian in the same way." I have received permission from Oleg to have the representation in Ukrainian
It is clear that the name of Oleg is now known around the world. And when to do his performance – this show, of course, will travel to other theatrical festivals, on tour to ride. Therefore, it is very important to make this performance a universal product that will include both Asia and America.

– Do you have not only theatrical plans for this piece?
– I'm a movie producer actually, but I'm not a theatrical producer. I realized that we really had to take this piece because there will be many people in the world who would like to see the work of Oleg Sentsov.
I thought that in the realities of the whole Ukrainian scene, if we shoot, on such clowns-aphs, that is to say big projects, and so it will not be very interesting. I thought it was moved to the pavilion, if there were other sets out there, it is clear that we will make a screen version of this room. Because the theatrical artistic setting and the decor of the film adaptation will, of course, be different. They will be the same in style, but different, their construction will be different. – Why do you have such confidence in Oleg? Have you been long and familiar, perhaps have you had common projects?
– We met him at the Odessa Festival in 2012. He participated in the pitching, then presented a rough draft of his second Rhino movie, and then I took care of all that pitching, as a that man who worked at the Odessa Film Festival. I have heard a lot about him, because he was such a director, of whom at that time all spoke, in principle, as it is today. Because he shot so well with his "Gamer".
I remember, Oleg went into the lobby, and wanted to be so everyone, I think, in one way or another to line up his back. Therefore, he is a very strong and very strong person.
