Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Other Congressional Democrats Reject President Donald Trump's Appeals for $ 5 Billion for the Construction of a Wall on the Southern Border .
"Do you agree to give him some of that money for the wall?" Savannah Guthrie, of the NBC channel, asked Pelosi during an interview scheduled to air on Thursday.
"No, no, nothing for the wall," replied Pelosi. "We are talking about border security."
"We can go through all this – no," Pelosi added. "How many times can we say no? Nothing for the wall."
Trump suggested Tuesday that the closure would be a less than ideal start for Pelosi, the future Speaker of the House.
Pelosi responded later in the day, accusing Trump of being responsible for the "irresponsible" closure.
