The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, declared an additional 548.6 million hryvnia of dividends from the Rothschild Trust which manages Roshen Corporation
. NACC reported the relevant document on January 1st.
In addition, in a statement on the significant changes to the status of the property on 1 January, Poroshenko also reported income of about 26 million UAH from the Prime Essents Capital investment fund, who manages all the assets of the president.
We recall the CEO of the trust, Rothschild Trust for the first time in three years, paid to Poroshenko the share of profits (dividends) of an amount greater than 556.7 million USD in December 2018.
In December 2017, Giovanni Salvetti, Managing Director of the Rothschild Banking House, stated that all parties interested in Roshen at the purchase of had declined this opportunity because of the high risk and the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.
As is known, Poroshenko after joining the post of head of state engaged for the sale of its assets the investment company Rothschild and ICU. However, on January 14, 2016, "due to lack of buyers", the President announced the signing of an agreement to transfer his stake in Roshen to an independent "blind" trust.
