Samsung's future processors will be able to set an impressive record

Samsung Electronics announced that it was ready to launch ARM processors with a clock frequency exceeding 3 GHz. To this end, the company plans to move to a technological process of 7 nanometers, then 5 and 3 nm. In this case, the manufacturer will increase not only their computing power, but also the energy efficiency.

Mass production of 7-nanometer processors will begin in the second half of 2018, Samsung promises. This could mean that the new "stones" will be the hardware base of the sophisticated Galaxy X models and Galaxy S10 headlamps, the presentation of which is scheduled for the first quarter of next year, with a gap of 1-2 months.

Future Samsung processors will be based on the Cortex-A76, introduced by ARM in May this year. In addition to this, the manufacturer introduced the Mali G76 top graphic coprocessor, which allows the CPU to provide the device with maximum performance.

With high computing power, the new chipsets will receive native support for artificial intelligence. Samsung, however, like many other vendors, attaches great importance to neural networks and machine learning technology by trying to adapt them to perform daily tasks rather than the users themselves.
