Astronomers have made an interesting discovery – superplanes may be more suitable for life than our Earth. These planets are the most common in our galaxy, they are similar to ours, but they are much larger.

Scientists thus assume that it is the celestial planets that may be the locus of the first spatial colonies of mankind. Read also: The Milky Way collided with another galaxy – scientists

As we know, the "Kepler" space telescope in 2009 opened 4 000 exoplanets, that is to say planets of the land type. 30% of them are super planets, among which there are not so many that revolve around their star in the so-called "living zone". In other words, these planets are far from their stars at a sufficient distance so that there is water on their surface and the temperature is optimal (not too hot that cold).

Scientists have discovered that some of these super-lands are rocky. In this case, the super-earth can have a radius of 10 times higher than the Earth and its mass can exceed 10 times the mass of our planet. And the larger mass means that the planet has a more powerful gravitational field. In other words, the planet can support many more molecules of air, creating a thicker atmosphere that will provide better protection against cosmic radiation. These conditions are therefore more favorable to the emergence and development of life, and these planets can become the "ideal home" for people.

But these planets and a significant disadvantage – they are not so easy to leave, because of gravity. In other words, takeoff will require a lot more fuel than on Earth.
