Hackers stole a quarter of the population of Singapore
Hackers led a large-scale cyberattack that killed 1.5 million users.
In Singapore, as a result of cyberattacks, personal data was stolen by 1.5 million people. This was announced Friday, July 20 by the country's Ministry of Health.
Hackers broke the database of one of the two largest state medical departments SingHealth stealing the names and addresses of patients, as well as the names of the medicines prescribed at them. A series of data covers the period from May 1, 2015 to July 4, 2018.
The actions of cybercriminals have affected nearly a quarter of the country's population, including Prime Minister Li Xian Luna.
Authorities ensured that diagnoses, test results, and medical results could not be removed or altered.
The attack has already been named the largest in the history of Singapore.
