KYIV. December 5 UNN The American SpaceX company launched a Falcon 9 rocket with the Dragon spacecraft, which carries the crew of the International Space Station (ISS), reports UNN with reference to the message from NASA.

The Dragon truck will deliver more than 2.5 tons of cargo to the orbital station, food and materials needed for a series of scientific experiments.

As previously reported to UNN, the Falcon 9 is a group of two-stage and part-time two-stage rockets (RNs) of the family Falcon of the American company SpaceX. "9" is the number of engines installed on the first stage of the rocket. The length (height) of the operated version is about 70 m, the diameter of 3.66 m, the starting mass up to 550 t, the declared load capacity being about 8.3 t for geo-transit orbit and 22.8 t for the lower tier.
