Residents of Metro Atlanta woke up to a series of violent storms moving into the area.
A severe storm warning was in effect for the counties of Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall and Walton until 7:15. Saturday.
Thunderstorms were heading south when a severe storm vein was in effect in parts of the region until 10 am, announced Katie Walls, Meteorologist at Channel 2 Action News

There is a risk of scattered lightning storms all over Georgia Saturday
