An urn containing the ashes of a naval SEAL was returned to Delaware this month – after being found in a dumpster – in what the family is calling a "miracle of Christmas", announced a report Wednesday.
After Shane Hanna, construction worker, found the ballot box – bearing the Navy SEALS logo and containing the remains of veteran Ronald Lee Pruitt – he brought it home to Lancaster County, in Pennsylvania, then handed over to veterans WGAL-TV from Lancaster reported that Foreign War Station (VFW) 3376 was there.

"I found his obituary and our head of post did some research and found the funeral home that had him cremated", said Mackenzie.
The funeral home was then called Dixon. to inform him of his brother's ashes. Dixon then drove three hours from his Delaware home in Pennsylvania to pick up the urn.

Hanna realized that he had to take action immediately afterwards.
"I understood that it was an urn, so it's impossible for me to leave it in the dumpster," Hanna said. "Especially because he was wearing a Navy SEAL badge."
The Navy veteran died in 1996. His body was initially taken to another sister, who died a few years later, according to the station.
"He was a true lover … died too young," Dixon said of his dead brother.
Dixon stated that she was "really happy" to have had the opportunity to take the urn home and "put it in her place".
According to WGAL, she received the remains at a ceremony at the VFW in honor of her service,
Dixon said that "guardian angels" had brought her brother back to him.
The ashes of Pruitt will be buried in a cemetery of veterans. the report said.
