KYIV. July 28th. UNN. Most people around the world had the chance to observe the complete lunar eclipse on Saturday night, which was the longest of the 21st century. During darkening, the moon became a dark red hue, which is why it was called "bloody", reports UNN
The grandiose lunar eclipse of that night showed photographers from all over the world, not just photographed from the International Space Station. Astronaut of the European Space Agency Alexander Gurst showed pictures of the space.
The complete lunar eclipse lasted 1 hour 43 minutes, and the partial eclipse – 3 hours and 55 minutes. Thus, it became the most prolonged lunar eclipse in the 21st century
But some of the Ukrainians could not see the moon "bloody" through the clouds.
Just took a picture of #LunarEclipse of @Space_Station . Tricky to capture. The slight hue of blue is actually the atmosphere of the Earth, just before the moon "dives in". #Horizon pic.twitter.com/X8r7puloQl
