The federal court of Washington DC (District Court) examined for a month the case between the US government and the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Lazarenko sentenced to corruption in the United States. 19659004] This is reported by Ukrinform.
The meeting took place during the conference call. The decision was made to allow the parties to continue negotiations on the terms of the Settlement Agreement.
The next meeting will be held in the afternoon of March 5th.
According to court documents, at this point, in a dispute against the US government, they act immediately. Several applicants: Pavlo, Alexander, Katerina and Olesya Lazarenko. None of them is personally present at the hearings. Their interests are represented by lawyers.

Lazarenko was arrested at the New York Airport in 1999. At that time, he was a member of the Verkhovna Rada. In November 2009, he was sentenced. And on November 1, 2012, Lazarenko left the US prison.
In Ukraine, about fifty criminal episodes were opened against a former officer: bribes, appropriation of funds and abuse of power.
