To note that from mid-January 2018, the dollar has slowly dropped from the mark of 28.88 UAH until the late spring. The cheapest US currency this year was worth 28 May – 26.09 UAH. Since then, a gradual appreciation of the dollar has begun. A big jump was observed in July – for a month, the currency added more grivnas to the price. As of September, the price of the dollar varies a bit in the region of the mark to 28 UAH.
A similar situation with the euro. The peak period fell at the end of January – the 22 of the euro cost 35.62 UAH! After that, in early February, the euro fell to a level of 33.3 to 33.5 hryvnias and continued to fall throughout the spring. The minimum value of the euro in 2018 was 30.64 UAH. Since June 1, 2018, the euro has resumed its growth and, since the end of September, the European currency has started to fall again, after losing more than one hryvnia in price over a month and a half. Recall that the absolute antirecord was in the extreme February 2015 – 37.35 UAH / euro.
