Democratic representatives Deb Haaland of New Mexico and Sharice Davids of Kansas shared the present call for tender just before the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, calls the Chamber to congratulate all new members of Congress. Haaland seemed to be wiping away her tears.

Haaland told CNN that she had supported

Davids, a member of the Homeland Wisconsin's Chunk also enters history as the first openly member of the LGBTQ Congress to represent Kansas.
