FORT MYERS, FL – A Fort Myers officer who was seriously injured during a Saturday night shootout was identified. The shots were fired around 19:30. near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Flint Drive, reports the News-Press
. Police wrote in an Instagram post that the officer was in "critical but stable condition" and needed "ongoing prayers". He was identified by the media Sunday as Adam Jobbers-Miller.
"Thank you for the overwhelming response of kind words and the help of several agencies in this tragic time," said City Police Chief Derrick Diggs. a suspect was arrested, the newspaper reported. There is no threat to the public.
