They only interfere with the workspace, because instead, it was possible to simply place shortcuts to launch the required software. Apparently, even Microsoft executives have understood and acknowledged that the "living tiles" initiative, first introduced in Windows 8, was completely flawed.
The final version of the Windows 10 operating system with the updated Start menu should appear. April of this year, but anyone who wishes can install it by participating in the insider program allowing early access.
