The document published on the official website of the party indicates that the CEC had no allegedly legitimate reasons for similar decisions but that as a result of its actions, millions of Ukrainians having income in Russia will not be able to vote in the presidential election.
The complainant also argues that the CEC's decision is not based on facts or court decisions, whereas the referral to the Foreign Ministry's submission can not be such reason, because it is not mandatory for the Central Electoral Commission.
Muraev also noted that the CEC's decision violates international standards and the principles of electoral and political rights, in particular the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
According to Vadim Rabinovich, a former pro-Russian politician, the Ukrainian People's Deputy, leader of the "For Life" party, threatened to sue the Central Electoral Commission for the same reason.
