The second man who was found dead at the house of a major contributor to the Democratic Party of West Hollywood was identified Thursday by the medical examiner from the County of Los Angeles 55 year old Timothy Dean.

Dean was found Monday at 1:05 am (4:05 am ET) in the apartment of Ed Buck, a Democrats campaign donor, after someone called 911, said Charles Moore, deputy sheriff of Los Angeles County. The cause of death is the subject of an investigation.

Buck's prosecutor Seymour Amster said his client thought Dean was "intoxicated" with drugs when he arrived at the apartment late Sunday or early Monday.

Buck, through the intermediary of his lawyer, maintained his innocence.

their deaths, this is the second time they play a role in the death of a man at Buck. On July 27, 2017, Gemmel Moore, who would turn 29 next week, was reportedly killed in the apartment.

Methamphetamine was on the list of "immediate causes" of Moore's death, according to a coroner's report.

At the time, Moore's mother, LaTisha Nixon, told the authorities that she thought Buck "may have harmed the deceased," said the coroner's report.

The sheriff's homicide detectives said this week that they were reviewing the Moore case in light of Dean's death. The investigation into the death of this 55-year-old man, however, is a death investigation and not a criminal investigation, sheriff officials said.
